Pastoral Care Team
St Mary's has a small Pastoral Care Team that visits and supports the sick and housebound. If needed, we can also arrange to give people a lift to and and from church.

PCC

The PCC (Parochial Church Council) meets 6 times a year with the purpose of co-operating with the Vicar in promoting the whole mission of the church; pastoral, evangelistic, social and ecumenical, in our Parish.

The PCC is made of members who are broadly speaking:
1) those specifically having a named role within the church (e.g. the Treasurer)
2) those elected to be representatives of the congregation as PCC members.

Elections are held each April at the APCM.

2010/2011 members are:
Richard Avery (Vicar), Pam Curtis (PCC Secretary), Denise Rayner (PCC Treasurer), Steven Chandler (Readers' Representative),  Ray Chamey (Lay Chair), Jenny Frith (Deanery Synod), Frank Atkin, Beth Ansell, David Frith, Elain Hamon, Steve Hamon, Jan Nash, Patricia Ravenhill-Whipp.

Children at Eleven

funfeet

Children are specifically catered for at our Eleven Service (11.00am each Sunday).

We generally follow this pattern, but it can vary:

1st and 4th Sundays - Children remain with the adults for the service (which has an all-age focus). Children can go and play at the back if they are getting fidgety (unsupervised).

2nd and 3rd Sundays - We all start and finish together, but the children get to spend approximately half of the service in a children's group activity lead by adults.
